CPSC, Discovery Toys Announce Recall of Children's Toy Phones

The battery-operated, multicolored toy flip phone is red, blue and yellow with green, blue, yellow and orange dial buttons. Each button has its own sound: a ring, a beeping dialing tune, a busy signal and a "hello." The toy phone has a blue hard-plastic antenna with a ball-shaped tip that makes a clickity-clack sound.

• Discovery Toys received eight reports of the antenna ball breaking off the toy phones. No injuries have been reported.

• Consumers should stop using the toy phone immediately and call Discovery Toys for a free repair kit. Purchasers were sent direct mail notification of this recall.
